with complete new Design
This 2020 silver coin in color is dedicated to the famous Sailing Ship Bounty. The coin was struck from 1 ounce 99.99% pure silver in uncirculated quality. The Bounty was a three-master of the British Admiralty, which set off on a voyage to the South Seas in 1787 under the command of Lieutenant William Bligh to bring cuttings of the breadfruit tree from Tahiti to the Antilles. On the planned return voyage, the historic "Mutiny on the Bounty" occurred in 1789. The motive of the coin presents a detailed depiction of the legendary sailing ship. The Bounty shimmers in silver and stands out clearly against the beautifully colored background of the coin, which shows tropical waters and the sunset. To the left of the ship there is a colored banderole bearing the name of the "Bounty". Below the Bounty, the denomination "1 DOLLAR" and the fineness and weight of the coin are shown. The reverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the inscription "COOK ISLANDS" and the year of issue 2020. The limited color coin is delivered in a protective capsule including a product card.
