The German government has decided to mint a 10-Euro collector coin "Nursing" and issue it from May 12, 2022.

The coin marks the start of a five-part series "In the Service of Society," in which one coin will be issued each year from 2022 to 2026. The series focuses on the special importance of professions that are indispensable to the functioning of our society and the lives of every individual. It is an expression of respect and appreciation for these people who always act in the interest of the common good.

The issues in the series are embossed with a plastic ring in the color characteristic of the respective professional group.

On the image side, the central motif, the protective hand held in both hands, symbolizes trust. The design also shows the complex range of tasks in today's nursing care.
