Hera is the goddess of marriage, hearth and family and the patroness of wives and children.
History
Since Zeus has many affairs, even though he is married to her, she is often angry and jealous. She takes her anger out on women (Leto, Callisto, and many others). From the affairs that Zeus has, children were born. For example, she tried to kill Heracles, the son of Zeus and the beautiful Alcmene, with two huge snakes. But the latter simply strangled them.
