The colored panda of the 2022 features two panda cubs playing in the snow while sliding down a slope. The special privy mark "40" is engraved on the left side  of the coin arounded with a panda.

The reverse side of the coin features the famous Temple of Heaven found in Beijing along with the Chinese inscription above the image reading "People's Republic of China" and the year "2022".
