The Theme depicts an incredibly detailed image of Prometheus the Titan god of Fire. he appears with a gilded fire, where people are trying to reaching out from below for help in High Relief. Prometheus defied the ancient gods, having stolen fire and given it to humanity. On the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: “PROMETHEUS” – the name of the coin.

The obverse of the coin features an image of the Olympus, surrounded by a laurel wreath and the typical Greek pattern. The deisgn also incorporates the inscriptions: “REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN” – the country of issue, “3000 FRANCS CFA” – the face value, “2023” – the year

PROMETHEUS

is a Titan Godin Greek mythology.

He is the son of Iapetos and the wisest Titan in contrast to Epimetheus. He was able to predict the future, which is why he joined Zeus when the latter wanted to overthrow Kronos, which is why he was still allowed to walk freely on earth.
History

Because Prometheus had the ability to see the future, he joined Zeus when he wanted to overthrow Kronos and the Titans. For this reason, he still walked freely on Earth.  Prometheus was on earth, where there were birds and also animals on the ground. However, there was no extremely intelligent and inventive animal there, so Prometheus formed humans out of clay. To these Prometheus showed how to build houses and how to protect themselves from disease with remedies.

Zeus, who together with the Olympians overthrew Kronos and the Titans, now became aware of the human race together with the other Olympians. These promised the people to protect them if they worshipped them. Now both parties met, while Prometheus represented the advocate of the people and used a ruse.

Prometheus sacrificed a bull and made two piles in the bull's hide. Zeus was to choose one of them. In one Prometheus put all the bones and in the other the flesh, the intestines and the stomach. The pile of skin with the bones looked as if it had more content, but Zeus saw through the deception. Nevertheless, he took the larger pile and acted angry and indignant. So he wanted Revenge.
