This commemorative set with two medals in .999 fine silver is dedicated to the 45-year friendship between China and Germany. One of the medals was struck in Berlin. The reverse shows the Berlin bear, he had a bouquet to welcome two pandas. The landmarks of Berlin are depicted in the background. The reverse of the Chinese medal shows on the left side an standing bear and on the right side two playing pandas. Both medals features the same motive on the obverse, which was designed by the Chinese designer Yu Min. They show the logo of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People?s Republic of China and the Federal Republic of Germany. The inscription ?Sino-German Friendship? the Brandenburg Gate, and the Great Wall of China is depicted in the background of the medals - Sino is the Latin name for China.
