The 2-euro commemorative coin 2015 dedicated to the Lithuanian language. The Lithuanian alphabet is composed of 32 letters. Lithuanian is the official language of Lithuania. Lithuanian is one of the 23 official languages of the European Union. The earliest known printed Lithuanian book is published in Koenigsberg in 1547 Catechism of M. Ma?vydas. Worldwide, there are 30 Lituanistik centers, where the Lithuanian language is studied and taught. Since 2007 will be awarded to Lituanistikstudenten at a foreign university by the Lithuanian Government the Kazimieras Buga-scholarship.
