The first release of the new The Lord of the Rings™ - Chibi Series is dedicated to Frodo™. The coin was struck by the New Zealand Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality. The special feature of this coin is its special shape in "Chibi Art" style. Chibi figures are characterized by their disproportionately large head and a relatively small body. This strongly belittles the depicted characters. The unusual Chibi shape makes this silver coin a highlight for every Lord of the Rings™ fan and coin collector. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and year of issue. The mintage is strictly limited to only 2,000 pieces worldwide. Frodo™ was the nephew of Bilbo Baggins™ and was chosen by Gandalf™ to leave the Shire to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom.
