Das dreiteilige Design aus dem Jahr 1978 zeigt den Cartoonisten John Arbuckle, der sich und Garfield mit dem Versprechen „Unser einziges Ziel ist es, Sie zu unterhalten“ vorstellt – während Garfield, ganz seinem Charakter entsprechend, einfach nur denkt: „Ich habe Hunger.“

Die Rückseite setzt das Thema fort und zeigt Garfield beim Essen, während er denkt: „Essen. Schlafen. Das Leben muss mehr zu bieten haben, aber ich hoffe nicht.“ Daneben stehen die Worte „Ich bin ein Gewohnheitstier – mit allen schlechten Gewohnheiten“ und „Vintage Garfield 1978“.

Taken from 1978, the three-panel design shows cartoonist John Arbuckle introducing himself and Garfield with the promise “Our only thought is to entertain you” — while Garfield, true to form, simply thinks “I’m hungry.”

The reverse continues the theme with Garfield enjoying a meal, thinking “Eat. Sleep. There must be more to life, but I hope not” alongside the words “I’m a creature of habit — all the bad ones” and “Vintage Garfield 1978.”
