An enchanting addition to an internationally acclaimed program, we are delighted to unveil the third issue of the Heraldic Beasts Series – the Unicorn 2026 $100 Rose Gold 1oz Gold Proof Coin!

A legendary beast with a long, spiralled horn growing from its forehead, the unicorn has fascinated people since Ancient times. Appearing extensively in European art and literature, the unicorn has, since the 15th century, been a key element of heraldic art – particularly in Scotland. Symbolising purity, grace, courage and fierce independence, the unicorn has been Scotland’s national animal for centuries. Since Scotland’s union with England in 1707, the UK Coat of Arms has featured a lion representing England and a unicorn representing Scotland.

Continuing a longstanding association with currency – with Scottish gold coins known as Unicorns and Half Unicorns issued in the 15th & 16th centuries – this rose gold-plated 99.99% gold Proof breathes new life into this beloved emblem. A masterwork of modern heraldic art, the crown-sized flan is adorned with a portrayal of a unicorn guarding a shield emblazoned with a classic medieval unicorn motif. The unicorn is shown shackled by a chain – a traditional depiction in Royal heraldry, thought by many to symbolise that only the monarch had the power to capture and tame the untameable unicorn.

A stand-alone product of immense beauty and quality, and a must-have for anyone who owns either of its predecessors in the series, the Unicorn 2026 $100 Gold 1oz Gold Proof is an exclusive limited edition. The mintage is a mere 50 coins!
